Unidentified Persons (living or deceased) are profiled on Doe Network if the case is on file with either a law enforcement agency or medical examiner's/coroner's office or medical facility. Historical cases not filed with an agency may be added on a case by case basis.
Each case is provided a unique number used for our organizational purpose only. This number should not be given to other agencies when providing information on a particular case featured on Doe Network, rather, when made available, please use the investigating agency's case number and/or the NCIC (National Crime Information Center) number for US and Canadian cases. NCIC numbers are not available for cases outside of the US or Canada.
*NOTE: In order for a case to be added on our site it must meet the following criteria (with the exception of Law Enforcement and Medical Examiner's offices.):
1. The Unidentified Person must have been found at least 3 years ago.
2. The Unidentified Person's case must be active with Law Enforcement. (Law Enforcement contact information must be included on the submission form. Preferably with a case number).
To submit a case, please use our Unidentified Persons Case Submission Form.
